Around the corner and across the globe, Evangelical Lutherans are making a difference -- feeding the hungry, supporting children and families, working for global justice, and sharing the good news to make Christ known in every place.
To help you tell the story of the ministries Lutherans are offering locally, nationally and globally, the Synod is making available a series of mission stories. The articles below can be downloaded as bulletin or newsletter inserts ready to reproduce in your publications, or as plain text files that can be cut and paste into your print, email or web publications.
Feel free to use these resources in creative ways. You may choose to include an insert as an article in your congregational newsletter. Or you may use a number of the inserts in a display stand or on a prominent bulletin board. Our hope is that many people will gain a greater awareness of how ministry across the synod, the nation and the world, is only possible through the interconnected relationships which make us the church.
We have offered a local mission story for each month through January 2008, plus a stewardship special, a pie chart showing where your money goes when it is entrusted to the Church through the Synod.
The ELCA also makes available inserts showing how your Mission Support dollars are used on the stewardship website.
