Liberty sponsors family Disaster Camp

The “Disaster Preparedness Camp” scheduled for August 14, 15, and 16 has been re-designed. In light of a number of factors, the event has been changed to a half-day Saturday event, still the same weekend, August 15, from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. The event will feature information on how to best to prepare for a pandemic crisis where our conventional means of gathering for work, fun or worship are not feasible. The half-day event will also feature an exercise where St. Luke Lutheran Church serves as a “Push Site” for mass distribution of medicines.
This event is for anyone interested in learning how their family or congregation might be better prepared in the event of a pandemic. Practical information will be provided as well as the opportunity to experience the model for mass distribution of medicines in Chester County. All are welcome and encouraged to register and attend. For ages 14 and above. Free will offerings will be thankfully accepted.
In light of the fact that the WHO has declared the H1N1 “swine flu” virus a pandemic and the likely incidence of more cases this fall, this exercise is timely!
