Build social media and video skills

Update: Are you coming to the BootCamp? Wifi will be available, so bring your laptop.

Do you want to learn more about how social media can be a tool for ministry?  How video can enliven worship and outreach?  Ways to use the web to strengthen ties in your church and community?  Whether you’re just getting started or a veteran who wants to learn more, there’s something for you at the SEPA eCommunications Boot Camp on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lansdale.

Cost is just $20 for an individual, $30 for a team from one church, or $10 for students and seminarians.  The Boot Camp runs from 9 am to 12:30 pm at Trinity, 1000 W. Main Street, Lansdale, PA 19446.

Climb into the trenches with us for lively discussion and hands-on workshops designed to ramp up your skills with social media, video, and the interactive web (Web 2.0).  Workshops will be led by experienced practitioners from our synod’s congregations.

We’ll also dedicate time during the Boot Camp for congregational communicators to network around areas of mutual interest.

If you’re new to the world of YouTube, Facebook, electronic newsletters and Web 2.0, this Boot Camp will help you get up to speed.  If you are already working with these technologies and want ideas about how to better use them for ministry, this Boot Camp will give you insights to enhance your online effectiveness.
